Welcome to Your Countryside Escape

Enjoy a peaceful stay in our newly converted four-bedroom barn, just six miles from the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds.

Set on our working arable farm, which has been in the family for over 100 years, you'll find countryside walks, cosy pubs and clear night skies right on your doorstep. The picturesque wool towns of Lavenham and Long Melford are close by, while Cambridge and the beautiful Suffolk coast make easy day trips.

Our barn has been lovingly converted and thoughtfully decorated for a relaxing countryside escape. After a soft launch, we're delighted to welcome our first guests from July 2025.

The barn sits beside our working farmyard. The enclosed patio is fully ready for you to unwind, barbecue and gather around the fire pit. Beyond, you can wander farm walks rich with wildlife - spot deer, hare and buzzards - or head out on nearby footpaths, one of which takes you to a wonderful pub in about an hour.

Absolutely fantastic stay, highly recommend for a group. Louisa's communication was impeccable from start to finish, despite some tardiness from my side. The place is exactly as shown in the photos and really well set up with homely touches, a fully equipped kitchen and kids toys. She offered some great recommendations of places to explore in the local area and local walks.

An excellent place to stay in close proximity to Bury St Edmunds. Very attentive host and everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend booking and would stay again if we were ever in the area.

Louisa was very responsive and helpful from booking till the end of our stay. The barn is situated in the middle of beautiful countryside within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds and Long Melford. The house had all we needed for our stay and was very comfortable, the rooms were beautifully decorated. There were lovely walk ideas and toys and games for our little girl which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed at Louisa's barn over the bank holiday weekend as a family of 5 and a family of 4 plus two dogs! The barn is absolutely beautiful, cosey and so homely. The games and toys are a lovely touch. Louisa had left us a map with some walks drawn onto it and I hugely recommend going into the meadow and grabbing yourself some apples and blueberries! Louisa was so friendly as was her dad Nigel who checked we were happy with the accommodation and had a lovely chat about the history of the farm etc. We had a wonderful stay and cannot recommend the barn enough so reasonable but perfect for a relaxed break away.

We had a wonderful stay here with two families of four. The house was perfect for us — spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and Louisa kindly arranged one of the rooms as two singles instead of a double, which worked brilliantly for our group. The open-plan living space was ideal for hosting family, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. It never felt crowded, even with a full house. The property is in a quiet location, which made it very relaxing. A lovely detail was the hand wash — it smelled divine and made the place feel extra welcoming.
